First a hello, then the deets on membership!
I'm Diana Chen, the Founder and Designer of Books Light the Fire. With over a decade of experience as an advertising executive collaborating with Fortune 500 companies, my expertise lies in the health industry, where I create compelling and impactful advertising campaigns that help people live better lives.
I'm passionate about helping women integrate wellness into their busy lives by living a more intentional life committed to personal growth through reading, practicing creativity, and connecting with like-minded women.
I've found that cultivating a growth mindset, staying curious, and being intentional about who you surround yourself with can be life-changing.


1. Choose a membership option
There are two membership options available, offered through the Mighty Networks platform we use:
1) All-Access Membership to attend all 6 book discussions per year, monthly creative joy dates plus curated events. All live and held in Manhattan (Midtown and Tribeca) with a virtual option for book discussions. You'll receive gift bags and goodies that support your journey. We'll help you prepare for book discussions and then help you implement positive changes coming out of the discussion. Join for $22 per month* or $199 for an annual subscription. *You can cancel at any time before your next monthly billing cycle date.

2) Digital Membership to attend up to 6 book discussions virtually. You'll receive goodies that support your journey along the way through email and mail. We'll help you prepare for book discussions and then help you implement positive changes coming out of the discussion. Join for $10 per month* or $100 for an annual subscription. *You can cancel at any time before your next monthly billing cycle date.

As an all-access member you'll get first access with discounts or free samples to new products from our shop. These products are meant to help support you on your journey.
2. Once you've purchased your membership
You'll have access to the Books Light the Fire community through the Mighty Networks platform. You'll receive a welcome message through the platform and an official email will be sent to the email you provided when you signed up. You'll also receive an email with instructions on how to navigate the community platform and then you can begin to RSVP for any events you are interested in. Note: Digital memberships only include virtual access to and participation in book discussions.


3. Attend an event
Each month, we host one of the three types of events listed below. The latest calendar can be accessed here but may be updated from time-to-time.

1) Book Discussions
Attend up to 6 book discussions. You'll receive a digital reading plan and writing prompts and exercises through a series of emails preparing you for the discussion. We'll discuss action steps to implement into your lives. Check out our 2025 book list here.

2) Creative Joy Dates
We hold monthly creative joy dates where we practice creativity through games, activities and arts and crafts. Considered a form of self-care, they help us connect with our inner child and authentic core. It's been said that it is through play that we truly see and show ourselves. ​

3) Curated events
There are few events per year. You'll receive gift bags and goodies that support each of these themed events. We celebrate International Women's Day along with other celebrations. You'll have first access to our signature event, the Annual Vision Board Party at a discounted price.

Additional events may be released along the way as part of your membership.
